Christian Counseling offers counseling to individuals who
embrace a Christian worldview. Although many forms of counseling
exist, it is important for a Christian to select a counselor
who adheres to Biblical principles.
One statistic stated that
over fifty percent of practicing psychologist and psychiatrist
in the United States are agnostic
or atheist; and only thirty of the remaining fifty percent
attend church. Thus, most counseling is done by non-believers
in the United States.
When counseling is done with an individual
who holds to atheistic, agnostic, humanistic, secular, and
a host of other
ideologies, the counselee is exposed to beliefs, techniques
and methods that are contrary to a Christian world view.

Before you subject yourself to taking psychiatric drugs
to resolve your problems, Dr. Fewlass recommends you make
an informed decision. She recommends that you read, Your
Drugs May Be Your Problem, co-authored by Peter R. Breggin,
M.D. and David Cohen, Ph.D. She also recommends that you
view a documentary created by Citizens Commission on Human
Rights, titled, A Documentary, Psychiatry an Industry of
Death. The link below will direct you to the site. (Dr.
Fewlass is not affiliated with, nor is she in agreement
with the Scientology belief system; however she is in agreement
with the thrust of this documentary.)
The use of psychiatric drugs to resolve problems does not necessarily empower
people to cognitively resolve their problems, they often just numb the pain…thus
nothing changes.
